Hello everyone. I hope all is well with you. There are a lot of things that I dream of doing, but I often let FEAR get in the way. Well, This month I told fear to get out of my face and take several seats.

I love memes with that baby in it ššš. Anyways, I entered a sewing competition and was one of five people accepted. The first challenge was, āTony Awards.ā The contestants had to pick a McCalls company pattern of their choice to make a formal dress for the Tony Awards. I chose Vogue pattern 1533. First of all, let me say that this pattern is not for beginners unless you just want to challenge yourself. There is a lot of intricate details that needs to be done right in order for the dress to really look well made.
I did not really make any alterations except for shortening the length a little, because I am only 5ā3ā³. To make the gown, I used a royal blue crepe back satin fabric and an embroidered tulle fabric for the overlay. This was the longest Iāve ever spent making a dress from a pattern, but I must say that I am very pleased and proud of the results. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog, it is very much appreciated. Scroll for photos.
